DeSilk’s products are made of the best silk fibers with the secret techniques of the Vietnamese people in combination with a different way of thought from Switzerland. DeSilk’s products demonstrate the aspirations of a Vietnamese woman, who wish to highlight made-in-Vietnam silk products around the world.
Van Thi Hang, the founder of the DeSilk brand, showed us an ao dai made from silk with motifs depicting the Vietnamese eggshell lacquer craft. From this silk, the craftsmen can customize the arrangement of details to create ao dai with different stories imprinted on them. Regardless of the arrangement, it still shows the appreciation of the skillful hands of Vietnamese craftsmen.
For example, DeSilk designers combined modern and traditional Vietnamese printing techniques to create a mysterious space on a piece of silk with a Keo pagoda motifs.
The combination of digital printing and traditional weaving creates masterpieces that highlight the weaver's soul with completely new shades and colors. “DeSilk wants to bring a breath of fresh air by mixing traditional cultural colors with modern technology,” said Van Thi Hang.
“The mission of DeSilk is to preserve the value of Vietnamese products and the secret of Vietnamese style”.
An innovative design combined with traditional and digital techniques allowed DeSilk to create unique products that not only show the skills of Vietnamese weavers, but will also help create a new look for a Vietnamese luxury brand.

"Each batch of printed silk has different colors that are not completely according to our wishes. If you don't have a special feeling about silk, you can't print even with modern machines. It's called the art of ingenuity," the DeSilk founder said.
The ingenuity of Vietnamese artisans is shown to its fullest in DeSilk's products, from ao dai to graceful scarves or just pretty little bows attached to the top of hand bags for ladies.
What DeSilk is doing is not only applying technology, but also constantly looking for ways to use and refresh the techniques and skills of workers, aiming to promote the Vietnamese silk industry. “Our designers have collaborated with traditional craftsmen, and the result goes beyond the value of a product, bringing valuable knowledge and techniques to talented Vietnamese artisans”, emphasized Van Thi Hang.
DeSilk's designers come from Switzerland, home of world famous watches. They therefore give DeSilk the rigor, discipline and precision that an international luxury brand needs.

With an endless passion for silk, Van Thi Hang has traveled throughout Vietnam to find the best silk threads for her brand. After going to the silk production area in Bao Loc (Lam Dong), witnessing the production chain with many long-standing factories, meeting farmers with a special love for hweaving, Hang saw Bao Loc as the land to create high-class silk products.
In the future we believe the company will succeed in bringing the made-in-Vietnam silk brand to markets such as Switzerland, France, Japan, Italy and the UK.
